These units are a basic ESB Model with an additional built-in feature that enables the start, stop and run functions to be controlled by a 2-wire signal switch or switches when there is a power failure.
The signal control system is designed for use where an interrupted or less than continuous power supply is required. By using this system, the run time plus the overall operating expenses will be considerably reduced. Auto Power has the only available control of this type.
ER 5000 AND ESB WITH SIGNAL CONTROL
To operate using a 2-wire signal control:
1. Connect the control switch to the green lugs.
2. Manual switch off.
3. Master switch on.
All start and stop functions are now managed by the control switch.
The manual switch and the green connecting lugs are located on the grey
electrical enclosure.
To operate manually:
Without a control switch connected and the master switch on, the generator can be controlled by the manual switch.
These units may be exempt from inspections and permits in some locations because they are portable units and do not need to be installed. However, if any permits, inspections or modifications are required for legal operation, they are the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
These units are not legally qualified for operations that require stand-by power in Health Care settings. The E5000 units are medium duty service rated and should not be operated near or at max output for extended time periods.
